What is a Microchip?

A microchip is something you can make apart of your pet's permanent ID. A pet microchip, which is the size of a grain of rice, goes beneath your pet's skin in the subcutaneous layer between the shoulder blades. This is a simple procedure like any other type of injection that will only take a few seconds to insert. No anesthetic is required. After placement there may be a scab at the injection site. Then we read the microchip with a universal scanner to make sure that it’s implanted and working correctly. From there we have you will out a form with information (name, address, email) we need to get you signed up for your subscription to your microchip and your done!

This type of permanent ID can never be removed or become impossible to read. There are many different microchip companies out there, but rest assured we can find out what company was used and get that information to reunite anyone with their furry companion.
